We are now accepting applications for the Parish Missionary Internship program for 2021-22.  Please select "View Application Here" to apply. Positions are open until filled.

Hiring Process for Parish Missionary Internship
  • Hiring Time-frame: interviews are conducted as scheduled from December through May. The six positions are open until filled.
  • Missionary Interns serve from early July 2021 through early-June 2022.
  • Applicants interested in becoming a missionary intern are asked to submit an application (available on parish youth website) and a current resume.
  • All applications and resumes are reviewed by the Missionary Intern Director.
  • Applicants that meet the criteria outlined on the application are offered an interview.
  • Characteristics assessed during the interview include, but are not limited to:
    • Overall ministry and job experience (1+ year of ministry preferred)
    • Approach to evangelization and Christian discipleship
    • Organization and administrative strengths
    • Ability to work well with others, especially in a team setting
    • Experience working with adults and youth
    • Ability to handle and offer fraternal correction
After their initial hiring and summer training, each missionary will discuss and discern with the Missionary Intern Director, which existing programs he/she will direct, and which ministries he/she will assist with. Normally, the expectation is that missionaries will direct one of the existing programs and assist with the rest. All existing ministries and apostolates have a model of shared responsibility among volunteers.
