"The splendor of the rose and the whiteness of the lily do not take away the perfume of the little violet or the delightful simplicity of the daisy. If all flowers wanted to be roses, nature would lose her springtime beauty, and the fields would no longer be decked out with little wild flowers." -St. Therese of Lisieux
Born in Georgia, I am a southerner at heart but moved around a bit because both my parents served in the Marine Corps. After my father retired we moved up north to the great PNW where my parents and six siblings all live in Vancouver, WA. It was there at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church that I got involved in Youth and Women’s Ministry while going to school and working full time as a Medical Assistant. While my plan was to go to nursing school, the Lord had other plans. I am now working towards finishing my degree in Theology hopefully in the near future. I am so excited to begin my work here at OLSOS! I will be leading Ignite, the High School Program as well as working on Ministry at the Naval Base.
You will most likely find me losing track of time in the Adoration Chapel, busy reading about Spiritual Discernment and Warfare, or wandering around looking for a good conversation! St. Therese is my spiritual sister so I like to think her ‘Little Way’ is one of the biggest game changers! I am very phlegmatic so I am always up for an adventure and I hope to one day be the patron saint of awkward situations.
