What's the Purpose? The aim of discipleship groups is to build a Christ-centered community in order to encourage each other on our journeys, to challenge each other to be Saints, and to have fun while doing it. Who can participate? High School Youth Grades 9-12 Who are leading the Discipleship Groups? Some super cool and faithful adult volunteers, including all of the missionaries too! Do I get to pick which Discipleship Group I want to be in? There will be an opportunity at the Kick-Off event to learn about each of the Discipleship Groups being offered this year, what their main charism will be (leadership, service, intimacy with Christ, etc.) and what it will look like. You will be able to share with Katie through a survey what Discipleship Groups you desire to be a part of. We cannot guarantee everyone will get their top choice due to needing to keep the groups to a limit of 8 people maximum, but we will do our best to discern with you. What are the charisms for the different groups?
How often will my group meet? We encourage each group to meet weekly or bi-weekly. The frequency and the day/time will be determined off of the Discipleship leader and the groups availability after everyone is placed in their groups. What if I can't commit to being in a Discipleship Group? Not a problem! One Saturday a month (schedule coming below soon), we will be hosting a High School gathering where those a part of or not a part of Discipleship Groups will have the opportunity to come together to have fun and grow in relationship with Christ! Okay, I'm totally in. How do I sign up?! We're glad you asked. |
