Dear SPARKS Parents,
Did you know that you are the most important teacher of religious education your child can learn from? At Star of the Sea Youth Ministry, we love teaching your children about the faith- but our influence is nothing compared to yours! While we may be here to bolster a love for the faith, it means nothing if that isn't being nurtured at home. We want to offer you the opportunity to help your children grow, so if there are any topics that you would like to join us for to help your children grow in a certain area, we encourage you to join us that week. Over the next few weeks we will be discussing prayer. We will look at how prayer is a conversation where we not only tell God what is on our hearts, but also must learn to embrace sitting in the silence so that we are able to hear Him respond. Sometimes God's answer isn't what we want to hear, and in those instances we have to continue to trust His plan. And we will be finishing off the prayer program with an introduction to intercessory prayer, where the students will have the opportunity to come to the leaders and be prayed over for any intentions they have.
